Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the handling of RAID1C23/DUP profiles within the btrfs reduce alloc profile function. This can lead to a WARN ON and remount-ro when allocating new blocks, potentially causing transaction aborts and filesystem instability. The issue arises because the function does not properly account for newly added allocation profile flags (DUP and RAID1C34 profiles), potentially returning a flag set with multiple allocation profiles when none are known.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
