Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the i2c subsystem. Specifically, a null-pointer dereference can occur in the
resource size() function if platform get resource() returns NULL. This issue is addressed by ensuring that the resource size() function is called after devm ioremap resource(), which checks for null pointers, and by utilizing devm platform get and ioremap resource() to simplify the code.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
