Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the BPF xmit operations related to return values. BPF encapsulation operations can return various positive values from functions like skb do redirect and bpf lwt xmit reroute. These return values were incorrectly interpreted as LWTUNNEL XMIT CONTINUE within the ip(6) finish output2 function, leading to a use-after-free condition and potential kernel crashes when already freed socket buffers (skbs) were processed by the neighbor subsystem. The issue was addressed by discarding return values from skb do redirect and converting return values from bpf lwt xmit reroute to avoid conflicts with LWTUNNEL XMIT CONTINUE.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
