Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the pid subsystem, specifically in the
task pid nr ns function. A missing null check for the namespace pointer can lead to a kernel panic when a null value is returned by task active pid ns. This can occur when handling interrupts, potentially causing system instability. The error manifests as a NULL pointer dereference, as indicated by the kernel panic message and associated trace information.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
