BrightTALK WordPress Shortcode plugin versions prior to 2.4.1
Description
The BrightTALK WordPress Shortcode plugin for WordPress has a flaw allowing for Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'format' shortcode attribute within the brighttalk-time shortcode. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping enable authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will then execute when a user views the compromised page.
Recommendations
Update the BrightTALK WordPress Shortcode plugin to version 2.4.1 or later.
