Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contained a flaw in the ptp clock settime() function where it incorrectly assumed that every precision time protocol (ptp) clock had implemented the settime64() function. This could lead to a NULL dereference. The issue was addressed by stubbing the function with -EOPNOTSUPP.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
