Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw related to the f2fs filesystem. A NULL pointer dereference issue exists in the error path of f2fs start discard thread(). This occurs because the code fails to invalidate dcc->f2fs issue discard, potentially leading to access of an invalid pointer when kthread stop() is called. The issue was identified through Syzbot testing.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
