Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s power management component, specifically within the
cw2015 driver. The cw bat probe() function does not check the return value of create singlethread workqueue(), potentially leading to a null pointer dereference if the function fails. This occurs because the function proceeds to use the workqueue pointer (wq) without verifying its validity, resulting in a potential crash when accessing wq->flags.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
