Description An out-of-bounds array access exists in the AMD display driver within the dc dmub setup subvp dmub command() function of the drivers/gpu/drm/amd/display/dc/dc dmub srv.c module. The issue occurs when the driver populates subvp info for both pipes using vblank instead of only the top pipe. This flaw can lead to a page fault and subsequent system restart, specifically when changing the display resolution to 8K in extended mode. Exploitation of this issue may impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information or result in a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
