Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak exists in the r8712 init xmit priv() routine within the r8712 driver. Memory is allocated in multiple steps, and if a later allocation fails after an earlier one succeeds, the allocated memory is not freed, resulting in a memory leak. This issue was addressed by fixing commit 2865d42c78a9 and also resolves a potential memory leak in r8712 xmit resource alloc().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
