Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak exists in the md/raid10 component of the Linux kernel. Specifically, within the
raid10 run() function's error handling path, memory allocated for conf->bio split is not freed when conf is released, leading to a memory leak. The issue arises because there are multiple locations where conf needs to be freed, and the freeing of conf->bio split was missed. A helper function was introduced to address this problem.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
