Description The Linux kernel contains an issue within the hfs/hfsplus component. A previous fix introduced a warning (WARN ON()) triggered by a corrupted HFS image, as reported by syzbot. The issue is addressed by handling the situation as an error and returning -EIO, rather than issuing a warning. Additionally, a memory leak introduced by a prior fix for a similar warning has been resolved, and a previously unhandled case has been addressed.
