Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.3.0-next-20230505-00006-g5107a9c821af
Description The Linux kernel contains an issue within the quota handling mechanism. A warning can occur in the dqgrab() function during fault injection scenarios involving concurrent quota operations from multiple processes. This can happen when a process attempts to acquire a quota while another process is suspending or resuming quota operations. The issue arises because the DQ ACTIVE B flag may not be set on the dquot structure when dqgrab() is called. This can lead to a warning being triggered during quota management.
Recommendations Update to version 6.3.0-next-20230505-00006-g5107a9c821af or a later version to resolve this issue.
