Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak exists in the Linux kernel’s networking subsystem, specifically within the libwx component and the wx setup rx resources() function. When the wx alloc page pool() function fails during the execution of wx setup rx resources(), the allocated DMA buffer is not released, leading to a memory leak. The fix involves adding dma free coherent() to the error path to ensure the DMA buffer is freed when allocation fails.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
