Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the networking component, specifically within the smc (SMC) subsystem. A potential panic can occur due to a lack of protection in the
smc llc srv add link() function. This allows the function to add a new link to a link group without proper safeguards, disrupting the security environment protected by llc conf mutex. The issue arises when the server attempts to create a second link.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
