Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the CIFS implementation, specifically in the
cifs oplock break function. A race condition can occur with deferred close operations and lease breaks, potentially leading to an 'oops' condition during unmounting. This issue arises from the order of checks performed before sending an oplock response. The vulnerability can be triggered when the openFileList is empty.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
