Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's soundwire bus component related to power management runtime (pm runtime) handling. Specifically, an unbalanced
pm runtime put() call can lead to a usage count underflow. This issue was addressed by reverting a previous commit and restoring the use of pm runtime get sync(). The affected functions incorrectly handle errors returned from attempting to acquire pm runtime, potentially leading to a pm runtime put() call when the usage count has not been properly incremented.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
