Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GCC (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the libstdc++ library where calling the erase if() function on a binary heap priority queue causes the library to reallocate storage without updating its internal entry pointer. This creates a use-after-free condition, which occurs when a program continues to use a pointer after the memory it points to has been freed. This can be exploited to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) through an application crash or lead to memory corruption.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
