Description
A buffer overflow occurs in the affected interface, which may allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the underlying host. Successful exploitation could grant the attacker the ability to run arbitrary code with privileged user permissions on the operating system. A buffer overflow is a condition where a program writes more data to a memory buffer than it can hold, potentially overwriting adjacent memory.
