Description
A NULL pointer dereference occurs during the authentication process, where a remote, unauthenticated attacker can crash the management daemon by sending a specially crafted request to the login interface. This leads to a denial of service. A NULL pointer dereference is a condition where a program attempts to read or write to a memory address that is NULL, typically causing the application to crash.
