Description
A heap-based out-of-bounds read exists in the TDS7 LOGIN7 protocol parser. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted TDS LOGIN7 packet that contains invalid offset or length values, which may lead to information disclosure or a denial of service. A heap-based out-of-bounds read occurs when a program reads data past the end of a memory buffer allocated on the heap.
