Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Collabora Online Built-in CODE Server versions prior to 26.4.303
Description
An OS command injection exists in the Nextcloud app richdocumentscode when the CODE server is not running, such as after a recent restart. This issue occurs via the 'proxy.php' endpoint and allows unauthenticated remote code execution. Real-world incidents occurred in September and October 2026, where attackers deployed PHP webshells on unpatched servers. This issue specifically affects the built-in CODE Server deployment and does not impact standalone Collabora Online servers.
Recommendations
Update the Collabora Online Built-in CODE Server to version 26.4.303 or later.
Check the server for unexpected shx*.php files to identify potential compromises.
