Description
A heap-based out-of-bounds read occurs in the
wvGetSTSH() function within stylesheet.c. This issue allows an attacker to crash applications, such as AbiWord, by providing a crafted .doc file containing ten or fewer styles or out-of-range style base indexes, which causes the system to read past heap arrays.Recommendations
Update wvWare wv to a version newer than 1.2.9.
