In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ethernet: mtk eth soc: unregister net devices in case of probe failure
If register netdev() fails for one of the MTK MAX DEVS devices in
mtk probe(), the error path jumps to err deinit ppe, skipping
mtk unreg dev(). The previously registered net devices are then freed by
mtk free dev() while still in NETREG REGISTERED state, hitting the
BUG ON(dev->reg state != NETREG UNREGISTERED).
Route the register netdev() failure to err unreg netdev so the net devices
registered so far are properly unregistered before being freed.
