Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Algorithm::UrataniTakeda versions 0.1.5 through 0.1.6
Description An issue exists where memory exhaustion can occur due to a failure shift cache in the search process that is never cleared. The failure shift is cached for each pair of trie state and text character within a field of the matcher object. Because entries for characters not previously seen at a given state persist for the entire lifetime of the matcher, an attacker providing text with numerous distinct characters to a long-lived matcher can continuously increase memory consumption with each search.
Recommendations Update Algorithm::UrataniTakeda to version 0.1.7.
