Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions HTTP::Server::PSGI versions prior to 1.0056
Description A remote attacker can crash the server by sending a single request with a large Content-Length and only a few body bytes. The server uses sysread() calls sized by the remaining Content-Length, causing Perl to allocate a read buffer equal to the declared length before data arrives. This leads to an out-of-memory error, causing the server to exit. Since HTTP::Server::PSGI operates as a single process, the server remains unavailable until it is restarted.
Recommendations Update to version 1.0056 or later.
