Description A flaw exists in the gst-plugins-base MicroDVD subtitle parser. The parser may dereference a NULL pointer—a situation where the software attempts to read a memory address that points to nothing—when processing a specially crafted MicroDVD (.sub) subtitle file. This leads to an application crash when a user opens or plays media containing the malformed file.
