Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s networking subsystem related to the hns3 driver. The issue stems from inconsistent allocation sizes for
hdev->htqp and kinfo->tqp when applying for resources, potentially leading to uninitialized elements within hdev->htqp during the hclgevf knic setup() function. Specifically, kinfo->num tqps can be smaller than hdev->num tqps, causing incomplete initialization. The correction involves allocating both hdev->htqp and kinfo->tqp using hdev->num tqps to ensure consistent lengths and proper initialization of all elements.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
