Description The tar-rs library embedded in cargo-c incorrectly handles symbolic links (symlinks) during the unpacking of tar archives. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted archive, allowing them to modify permissions of arbitrary directories outside the extraction root, which could potentially lead to privilege escalation.
