Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Dual DHCP DNS Server version 8.01
Description
UDP DNS responses are improperly accepted and cached without validation of the originating upstream DNS server. The system matches responses primarily by the Transaction ID (TXID), allowing a remote attacker to inject forged responses and poison the DNS cache. This can lead to victims being redirected to destinations controlled by the attacker.
