Description
A buffer overflow occurs when processing
UplinkNASTransport containing an Authentication Response with a NAS PDU of excessive size (e.g., 100 bytes). The response is decoded by the AMF and forwarded to the AUSF component for verification, where the AUSF crashes upon receipt. This failure can prevent users from completing registration and verification, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).Recommendations
