Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions AMD CPUs (affected versions not specified)
Description A transient execution vulnerability exists within AMD CPUs that allows a local user-privileged attacker to leak data via the floating point divisor unit. This issue, known as Floating Point Divider State Sampling (FP-DSS), enables the leaking of previous SSE/AVX floating-point division operands, including those from other SMT threads, which may result in a loss of confidentiality.
Recommendations Set bit 9 in MSR 0xC0011028 to mitigate the risk.
