Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A potential deadlock exists in the tracing component during CPU hotplug operations involving osnoise. The issue occurs when a specific sequence of events involving mutex lock(&interface lock) and cpus write lock() leads to a state where tasks are mutually waiting for locks, causing the system to hang.
Recommendations Swap the order of cpus read lock() and mutex lock(&interface lock) to resolve the deadlock.
