Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the s390 architecture memory management where secure storage access exceptions occur in a kernel context for pages lacking the PG arch 1 bit. This bit is absent on storage donated to the Ultravisor because the kernel cannot export donated pages. Previously, the system attempted to export the page via the arch make folio accessible() function, which would return immediately if the arch bit was absent, incorrectly signaling that the page was already exported. This resulted in secure storage access exception loops that could not be resolved.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
