Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists between the counter and PWM sub-drivers when assigning a struct device pointer to the dev member of the shared struct rz mtu3 channel. Because both drivers can use hardware channels 1 and 2, they may overwrite each other's assignments. Since the counter sub-driver relies on the dev member for runtime Power Management (PM), an incorrect probe order can lead to the driver performing PM actions on the wrong device instance.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
