Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A race condition exists in the rpmsg core where the
driver override show() function reads the driver override string without holding the device lock. Simultaneously, the store function modifies and frees this string while holding the device lock. This concurrency issue can lead to a use-after-free scenario, which occurs when a program continues to use a pointer after it has been freed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
