Description An issue exists in the GPIO sysfs implementation where exporting a GPIO over sysfs and subsequently unbinding the parent GPIO controller causes the exported attribute to persist under '/sys/class/gpio'. This occurs because the removal of the parent device prevents the gpiod unexport() function from associating the descriptor with the device, which prevents the final reference from being dropped.
