Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
mtk-mdp media component within the probe function. The lack of proper error handling leads to a resource leak when mtk mdp unregister m2m device() is not called on the error path. Additionally, the failure to check the return value of the vpu get plat device() function can result in a null pointer dereference. Furthermore, because vpu get plat device() increases the reference count of the returned platform device, the absence of platform device put() causes a reference leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
