VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the NTFS driver where the d compare() function improperly blocks due to the use of getname(). To resolve this, the implementation was switched to use kmalloc(PATH MAX, GFP NOWAIT) within d compare() and ntfs d hash(). Additionally, the improper use of names cachep for purposes unrelated to pathnames was addressed by replacing it with k[mz]alloc().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
