Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak exists in the drm/atmel-hlcdc component. The
atomic destroy state callback fails to free all necessary objects, specifically drm crtc commit objects, by only releasing the framebuffer. This leads to an increase in slab memory usage over time, which can be observed during prolonged use of graphics applications or through kmemleak. The issue is resolved by implementing the drm atomic helper plane destroy state() function to properly release all unused objects.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
