Description An issue exists in the sched ext component where the scx claim exit() function atomically sets exit kind, preventing scx error() from triggering further error handling. The caller is then required to kick the helper kthread work to initiate bypass mode and teardown. If the calling task is preempted between calling scx claim exit() and kicking the helper work, and the BPF (Berkeley Packet Filter) scheduler fails to reschedule it, the helper work is never queued. This prevents bypass mode from activating, stops task dispatching, and leads to a system wedge.
