VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Open ISES Tickets versions prior to 3.44.2
Description A reflected cross-site scripting issue exists in the 'os watch.php' endpoint. Authenticated attackers can inject arbitrary JavaScript by providing unsanitized values through the ref and mode orig POST parameters, which are then inserted directly into HTML form hidden input value attributes. This allows a malicious payload to execute within the victim's browser when the response is rendered.
Recommendations Update to version 3.44.2 or later. As a temporary mitigation, restrict access to the 'os watch.php' endpoint or avoid using the ref and mode orig parameters.
