Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenBao versions prior to 2.5.4
Description OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. A flaw in access control allows a user in one tenant to revoke or renew the lease and underlying credentials of a user in another tenant if the lease identifiers are leaked. This occurs via the legacy, undocumented 'sys/revoke' and 'sys/renew' endpoints, effectively bypassing Access Control Lists (ACL) and potentially allowing a remote attacker to escalate privileges.
Recommendations Update to version 2.5.4. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the 'sys/revoke' and 'sys/renew' endpoints.
