Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The fbnic driver fails to validate MTU changes after an XDP (eXpress Data Path) program is attached. Increasing the MTU beyond the HDS threshold causes the hardware to fragment packets across multiple buffers. If a single-buffer XDP program is active, the driver drops all multi-frag frames, which can lead to the disruption of TCP streams.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
