Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
On PowerNV systems lacking a power-mgt DT node, the cpuidle component may register only one idle state. If this state is a polling state (state 0), the ladder governor can incorrectly identify state 1 as the first usable state, resulting in an out-of-bounds index. This leads to the invocation of a NULL enter callback within the
cpuidle enter state() function, which causes a system crash.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
