Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the btrfs component where the
btrfs quota enable() function may perform an invalid leaf access. This occurs when the btrfs search slot for read() function returns 1, indicating that no key greater than or equal to the requested key was found. In this scenario, the end of the tree has been reached and the path is invalid; however, the system continues processing instead of breaking the loop, leading to the invalid path access.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
