Description An issue exists in the ocfs2 module where direct I/O (DIO) operations can lead to credit exhaustion in JBD2 (Journaling Block Device), resulting in system warnings. This occurs during the execution of the ocfs2 dio end io write() function when attempting to extend transactions. Additionally, the placement of the ocfs2 del inode from orphan() function could lead to stale blocks beyond the end of a file if a crash occurs during extent tree updates.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
