Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the
damon stat start() function when damon start() fails. The context allocated by damon stat build ctx() is not destroyed, and the global pointer is not reset. Consequently, the stale damon stat context pointer is overwritten during subsequent enable attempts, rendering the previous allocation permanently unreachable.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
