Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified) openSUSE Tumbleweed versions prior to kernel-devel-7.0.11-1.1
Description A DMA coherency issue exists in the igorplugusb driver within the media subsystem. In a control request, the USB request structure may be subject to Direct Memory Access (DMA)—a feature allowing hardware to access main system memory independently of the CPU—on some Host Controllers (HCs). To ensure data consistency, the structure must follow DMA coherency rules and be allocated separately.
Recommendations Update to kernel-devel-7.0.11-1.1 for openSUSE Tumbleweed. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability for the Linux kernel.
