VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the Bluetooth btmtk component where the btmtk usb hci wmt sync() function casts WMT event response SKB data to struct btmtk hci wmt evt (7 bytes) and struct btmtk hci wmt evt funcc (9 bytes) without verifying if the SKB contains sufficient data. A short firmware response can lead to out-of-bounds reads from the SKB tailroom.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
